The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) celebrated its one-year anniversary with several big announcements, including its first call for research proposals with a broad agency announcement (BBA), the launch of the “ARPA-H Dash” competition, and the hiring of its first two program managers. ARPA-H was created to support transformative research and development to drive biomedical and health breakthroughs – ranging from molecular to societal – to provide transformative health solutions for all.
FABBS has been actively engaged and covering the evolution of ARPA-H since the initial conversations. While the opportunities for our sciences might not be immediately obvious, FABBS encourages researchers in the behavioral and brain sciences to take a close look at these announcements. - ABC Educational Webinar: What is ARPA-H? March 30 @ 12 pm ET – The American Brain Coalition (FABBS serves on the advocacy committee) will host Senior Advisor, David C. Bowen, PhD, to provide an educational overview of ARPA-H.
- ARPA and You: Research Process and Funding Opportunities at Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA). FABBS and APA have been working together to host sessions on DARPA and Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) to help familiarize our members with the ARPA model, recognizing differences, and to make our members aware of funding opportunities at IARPA and DARPA.
