American Brain Coalition

The American Brain Coalition (ABC) is a nonprofit organization comprised of the United States’ leading professional neurological, psychological, and psychiatric associations and patient organizations. Together, we seek to advance the understanding of the functions of the brain, and to reduce the burden of brain disorders through public education and advocacy.

Coalition for National Science Funding

The Coalition for National Science Funding (CNSF) is an alliance of over 130 professional organizations, universities and businesses united by a concern for the future vitality of the national science, mathematics, and engineering enterprise. CNSF supports the goal of increasing the national investment in the National Science Foundation’s research and education programs in response to the unprecedented scientific, technological and economic opportunities facing the United States.

Friends of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism

Friends of NIAAA (FoNIAAA) is dedicated to supporting NIAAA in its work to reduce alcohol-related problems and will highlight and disseminate the findings of NIAAA’s programs and help to develop policies…. [through] supporting research in a wide range of scientific areas including genetics, neuroscience, epidemiology, end organ damage, health risks and benefits of alcohol consumption, prevention, treatment and recovery; coordinating and collaborating with other research institutes and programs on alcohol-related issues; collaborating with international, national, state and local entities engaged in alcohol-related work; [and] translating and disseminating research findings to health care providers, prevention professionals, researchers, policymakers and the public.

Friends of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development

The Friends of NICHD is an independent coalition of more than 100 organizations formed in the mid-1980s to support the important role of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD).

Friends of the National Institute of Health Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research

The Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR) is responsible for coordinating the health-relevant behavioral and social sciences and identifying challenges and opportunities to advance these sciences at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Friends of the National Institute of Mental Health

The Friends of NIMH coalition is dedicated to supporting the mission of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) to transform the understanding of mental health and the treatment of mental illnesses through basic biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research, to best inform prevention, early intervention, recovery, and cures.

The Ad Hoc Group for Medical Research is a coalition of patient and voluntary health groups, medical and scientific societies, academic and research organizations, and industry that support enhancing the federal investment in the biomedical, behavioral, and population-based research conducted and supported by the NIH.

Coalition for Health Funding

The Coalition for Health Funding is the oldest and largest nonprofit alliance working to preserve and strengthen public health investments in the best interest of all Americans. Our member organizations together represent more than 100 million patients and consumers, health providers, professionals, and researchers.

Coalition for National Security Research

The Coalition for National Security Research (CNSR) is a broad-based alliance of industry, academia, scientific and professional organizations, and non-profits committed to advocating for a strong Defense Science and Technology enterprise.

Friends of the Institute of Education Sciences

The Friends of IES (FIES) represents more than 40 scientific associations, education organizations, universities, and research institutions that support the critical research, data, statistics, and evaluation programs at the Institute of Education Sciences.

Friends of the National Institute on Aging

The FoNIA is a broad coalition of organizations committed to the advancement of health sciences research that could affect millions of older Americans. FoNIA supports the research and training missions of the National Institute on Aging and serves as a bridge between the NIA and supportive organizations and groups in order to promote and advocate for the NIA and its initiatives as public policies in health and research take shape.

Friends of National Institute of Drug Abuse

The Friends of NIDA (FoNIDA) is a coalition of 150 scholarly organizations collectively representing over 2 million people, professional societies, patient groups and others committed to the elimination of drug abuse and addiction through education, advocacy and the promotion of broad public and private support for the research agenda of NIDA.

Gun Violence Prevention Research Roundtable

The Gun Violence Prevention Research Roundtable (GVPRR) is a nonpartisan national coalition of leading medical, public health, and research organizations educating policymakers and partners about the value of federal funding for firearm violence prevention research.
