The Federation of Associations in Behavioral and Brain Sciences (FABBS) is seeking science writers to cover behavioral science informing policy and early career scientists award recipients. Content will be included on our website, to be distributed in our bi-monthly newsletters and shared on social media. FABBS is a non-profit organization whose mission is to advance the sciences of mind, brain, and behavior by connecting and communicating with scientists, policymakers, and the public.
Content we are currently seeking:
- PIBBS summaries – 350-500 word write-ups of selected articles from our journal, Policy Insights from the Behavioral and Brain Sciences (PIBBS). See examples here.
- Early Career Award profiles – 500-750 word profiles based on interviews with our awardees on their research, including any drafts and approvals from the awardees, and contacting the press or public relations office of their institution, if possible. See examples here.
Compensation is provided per piece. This is a great opportunity for graduate students or post-docs interested in expanding their science writing portfolio and becoming an ambassador for our sciences! Please provide writing samples, if available.
