About FABBS

Mission Statement
The Foundation for the Advancement of Behavioral and Brain Sciences is an educational non-profit organization established to promote and enhance understanding of the behavioral, psychological, and brain sciences.

The mission of the foundation is education, directed to two important audiences: the public and researchers.  Our first goal, to enhance the public’s understanding of scientific research, will be accomplished through educational programming and publications designed for non-scientists.  Our second goal, to facilitate the engagement of scientists in productive dialogue that will improve and expedite activities related to research, will be met through the organization of conferences and seminars geared towards communication and interaction between those involved in the research process.

The end products of the successful fulfillment of our efforts include a society that is better equipped to understand the complex, scientific issues that are becoming a daily part of modern life, and a well-informed research community that is prepared to advance their field beyond current expectations and capabilities.
